If you love Art Deco, you’ll love this ornament depicting the two concrete lion sculptures that have guarded the south entrance of the Lions Gate Bridge since 1939. The bridge, built in 1938, was the longest suspension bridge in the British Empire at the time. The lions were designed by sculptor Charles Marega, who tragically died two months after their installation.
