Lions Gate Bridge Statue Christmas Ornament
If you love Art Deco, you’ll love this regal blown-glass lion Christmas ornament depicting each of the two concrete lion sculptures that have guarded the south entrance of the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver since 1939.
The bridge, built in 1938, was the longest suspension bridge in the British Empire at the time. The Art Deco styled lions were designed by sculptor Charles Marega, who tragically died only two months after their installation.
This gorgeous blown-glass lion ornament shimmers in a light silver to "pop" against the backdrop of your tree, and is a stunning addition to an all-silver tree. It measures 4” long x 2” wide x 3” high (10.5cm x 5.5 cm x 8.7cm). While it's a substantial ornament, it's deceptively light.
